For more than 40 years, the Birchcliffe Centre has been home to a number of wonderful historical resources. Our digital archive holds the collections of Alice Longstaff, who captured the soul of Hebden Bridge on film for over 70 years. More recently, Pennine Heritage has been working with academics and students at the University of Huddersfield to further explore the rich history that we have stored away. We're also home to a number of tenants who use their creativity to inspire in the present. Explore the work that we have been doing at the Birchcliffe Centre and help to connect Hebden Bridge's past and present. As well as being able to explore our wonderful Grade 2 listed former chapel, you'll be able to look at a newly-printed collection of Longstaff photos, discover the work that has been done by student and adult learning groups with the University of Huddersfield, and sample the incredible work of our tenants who showcase so much of the creativity that Hebden Bridge has become known for.
