Sessions length: 1 hour 30 mins
Learn about life in the Second World War by getting hands-on with real historic documents and objects. Experts from Pennine Heritage will bring history to life through activities where you become the historian, using real historic evidence to learn about the past.
In this innovative and exciting session, you will be introduced to local nurse Mary Atack, who spent the war working all over the country. You will examine documents from Mary's life and career, and get to handle objects from a real wartime First Aid kit.
